A.R.Murugadoss to do one more biggie in 2014

Director A.R.Murugadoss is among the few who is in demand all across the nation and he has tasted success in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi as well. Now, he is busy with the Hindi remake of Thuppakki, with Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead and this movie is set for a grand release in January 2014. 

 

After that, he is reuniting with Vijay in Tamil for another potential blockbuster in 2014. Now, Fox Star Studios has signed him on for his next Hindi film which he would direct next year. Murugadoss has decided to honor this commitment as it was decided sometime back. The cast and crew of this film are yet to be decided but one can be sure that the very best will work on it.

 

Fox Star Studios and Murugadoss have already co-produced movies in Tamil such as Engeyum Eppodhum, Vatthikuchi and the upcoming Raja Rani, it must be noted.

'Isai Kadal' A.K.Shiva and 'Isai Vendan' Vetriselvan battle it out

There is a powerhouse addition to the cast of S.J.Suryah's Isai. Sathyaraj has been roped in to play the role of a senior music wizard by the name Isai Vendan Vetriselvan. S.J.Suryah meanwhile plays an upcoming music sensation named Isai Kadal A.K.Shiva. Now this name surely is reminiscent of one of the biggest geniuses of our times, Isai Puyal A.R.Rahman, isn't it? 

 

Isai talks about the rivalry between two composers but Suryah doesn't intend to hurt the sentiments of any and as always, entertainment is his only motto. He is composing the music as well, as is reported already. 

 

Sathyaraj will be sporting a new look in this film and Suryah is bowled over by the screen presence of the veteran and he believes that this character has been taken to a different level by Sathyaraj.

'Two-in-One' success for Dhanush

Even as Ambikapathy, Raanjhanaa's Tamil dubbed version, has taken a decent opening across the state with good occupancies, the Hindi original continues to rake in the moolah in its second weekend too.

Ambikapathy opened in more than 250 screens across the state and the first day collected approximately 1.25 crores, according to trade sources. This figure is a benchmark for a dubbed film and has come as great news for all the stakeholders.

On its second Friday, Raanjhanaa collected 2.25 crores net thereby reaching 36.25 crores in total domestic net collections. The film has surely outperformed and Dhanush has stormed the nation with this intense romance flick. In the USA too, Raanjhanaa is a winner and it has HIT written all over it.

Taapsee talks of retirement plans

Though she was seen in the national award winning Aadukalam, Taapsee had only one release in the past two years - Vandhaan Vendraan. Now she is busy shooting for the Lawrence starrer Ganga, a sequel to his previous Muni movies. Taapsee is also part of the Ajith film directed by Vishnuvardhan and a Telugu flick opposite Gopichand in which she will perform stunts.

She is obviously kicked about the role. "It has been my long time desire to do an adventurous role and this movie will let me fulfill my dream," she said in an interview. Taapsee is also aware of the short life span of heroines. "I know the lifespan of a heroine is about 10 years. After which, I would like to get married and settle in a place where nobody recognizes me," she was quoted as saying.

Karthi - Suriya donate 10 lakh

While the state is still grappling with the flood situation and rescue forces peg another 3000 people to be missing in the devastation, funds are pouring in for Uttarakhand relief. The Sivakumar family that runs the Sivakumar Educational Charity and assists school and college children in their education by providing financial support will donate 10 lakhs for the prime minister relief fund for the flood relief operations in Uttarakhand.

Suriya announced the same in the event organized by the Charity to distribute aids to the students who scored high marks in the plus 2 examinations. "Indian army and air forces are doing a commendable job in the relief operations in Uttarakhand. It seems the disaster has dragged our country's progress back by 3 years. Our family will donate 10 lakhs for the relief fund," Suriya stated at the event that was attended by his family including Karthi, Sivakumar and their sister Brinda.

Who is Ameer's heroine?

Ameer's next film in the lead Peranbu Konda Periyorgale (PKP) has had its share of heroine trouble recently. The team could not zero in on a lead lady for the man for a long time. Surveen Chawla, who was earlier seen in Moondru Per Moondru Kaadhal, was in consideration but she could not commit owing to her bulk dates for Arjun's Jai Hind 2. 

 

It turns out that Mrithika of 555 will be cast opposite Ameer in PKP which will be directed by Chandran, a former assistant of Seenu Ramasamy. Now that the heroine hunt is over, Ameer and the team will get ready to shoot for the movie that goes on floors soon.

Nazriya's ex-lover and date problems!

In the upcoming film Raja Rani, Nazriya Nazim is not the least bit worried about being the second heroine with the more senior Nayantara gaining more prominence. The young girl from Kerala says that her role in the film is crucial to the proceedings. She reveals that she plays Arya’s ex lover in the movie.

At such an early stage in her career Nazriya is fast climbing the ladder of stardom as she will soon be seen alongside National Award Winner Dhanush in Sarkunam’s Naiyaandi. Nazriya admits being nervous in front of Dhanush in the beginning but credits the star actor for making her feel comfortable on the sets and guiding her through the difficult scenes. In Naiyaandi, Nazriya has tried her hand at comedy and believes that it’s worked out well for her. She will also be seen in Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah which features Jai who has apparently been schooling her in Tamil.

The young Nazriya is managing her dates between all these projects with the ease of a professional.
